Alfredo Macchi, born in 1967, at the age of 13 wanted to become a journalist. Today he can certainly say he made it. After various collaborations in his youth (Corriere, L’Espresso, Radio Popolare, Rai), at the age of 25 he lands in Mediaset where he works as a correspondent for the main crisis scenarios.

Kosovo, twin towers, Afghanistan, the devastation of the tsunami in Tamil Nadu (India), Lebanon, Iraq, Haiti and the Arab springs: Macchi testified with his reports and reports the most tragic events of our time. In 2009, after having tried several times, he won the Alpi Award for the best Italian short reportage.
